Cooper’s RV Center Seeks OK for Second Store
Keith Conard said his plans to expand Cooper’s RV Center into Pennsylvania’s Allegheny Township will be an improvement to the site of the former Trunzo’s recreation complex.
The Tribune-Review reported that Conard recently presented to township supervisors his proposal to open a second location to his business that’s been selling recreational vehicles and campers since 1951.
The dealership has outgrown its Murrysville site as RVs have increased in size, Conard said. He needs more space for the RV sales and service he offers.
The 16-acre Route 356 site would provide “more breathing room” and, with its hills and a creek running through the back of the property, serve as an appropriate backdrop for a business connected to the outdoors, he said.
However, John Poleski wasn’t convinced Conard’s proposal would benefit the neighborhood. Poleski said he plans to sell his house soon and doesn’t want Cooper’s to detract from his home value.
