Online Training Event Targets ‘Young RV Execs’
A live online management training event for young RV executives and other RVDA members will take place March 18 at noon ET, courtesy of the Mike Molino RV Learning Center.
According to a press release, the free session will be presented by leadership and personal development coach Pete Smith of SmithImpact. Designed as an interactive conversation, it will teach participants how to create a culture of motivated employees.
“Kicks, Keeps & Karats: Secrets to Becoming a Rock Star Manager” will use the web-based video platform Spreecast to connect Smith with participants who have preregistered through the Learning Center’s link. The live event will discuss a step-by-step method and common-sense formula for inspiring employees.
Then, for three weeks following the live conversation, registrants will receive a weekly link for educational videos from Smith and have the opportunity to engage with him and other participants via the Young RV Executives LinkedIn Group, a sub-group of the larger RVDA LinkedIn community. These three videos will cover:
• Motivators that don’t work.
• A step-by-step guide to
• Major mistakes managers make.
• Proven ways to praise and recognize employees.
The Spreecast platform is ideal for interactive learning — the video presenter can share material and viewers can ask questions, make comments, and ask to be put onto the screen via their webcam. The experience is completely online; participants don’t have to dial in to hear an audio of the presentation. Both the Wall Street Journal and ESPN use Spreecast for their online interactive presentations.
“Kicks, Keeps & Karats” registrants will receive e-mailed instructions for creating a free Spreecast account and participating in the LinkedIn discussions and Young Execs sub-group. Get your questions answered and share your successes with Smith and other young managers in their LinkedIn Group. Smith will moderate the discussion and offer support to the group until April 18.
The RV Learning Center is supported by dealers, manufacturers, suppliers, distributors, and other RV industry members who are committed to dealership education and the high level of customer service that educated employees provide. Certification programs, readiness testing, webinars, audio presentations, live workshops, and a wide variety of specialty publications are all part of the RV Learning Center’s offerings.
