PCOA York RV Show Sees Steady Traffic, Sales
The York Campers World RV Show, hosted by the Pennsylvania Campground Owners Association (PCOA), held its 36th edition March 7-9.
According to a press release, the 14 participating RV dealers reported brisk sales. A total of 180 units were shown on over 130,000 square feet of indoor space while 38 units were outside on the York Expo Center grounds in West York. In addition, 50 campgrounds showcased their facilities at the event.
A unique feature of the show is Camper Bingo, where 24 weekends of camping are given away to one winner each hour. Bingo cards are distributed to attendees when they enter the show. A grand door prize of $1,000 toward a new RV was also awarded to a winner from New Freedom, Pa.
Attendance this year was up 3% over 2013, spurred by an extensive advertising campaign that included TV, print, radio, billboards, posters, postcards and website promotions. New this year was an online pre-roll video that targeted people who are in the market to buy or currently own an RV within a 100-mile radius of the show.
Dates for the 2015 show are March 13, 14 and 15. For more information, go to yorkrvshow.net.
