Ally Commercial Finance, a unit of Ally Financial Inc. that provides senior secured commercial-lending products to primarily U.S.-based, middle-market companies, announced that effective May 1 it will be aligned under Ally Bank, the direct banking subsidiary of Ally Financial. The Shediac, New Brunswick, council gave the go-ahead Monday night (April 28) to a controversial 708-site RV park in the popular tourist town. People packed the Shediac Town Hall for the vote. Many held signs opposing the move, saying “Conflict of Interest,” “Do the right thing” and “We’re taxpayers too,” CBC News reported. The RV park would become the largest business in the region. U.S. Consumer Confidence Edges Down in April

U.S. consumer confidence fell in April over concerns about hiring and business conditions, even though many people foresee a strengthening economy in the months ahead. According to an Associated Press report, the Conference Board said Tuesday (April 29) that its confidence index dropped to 82.3 from a March reading of 83.9. White House Considers Tolls on Interstate Hwys.

With pressure mounting to avert a transportation funding crisis this summer, the Obama administration Tuesday (April 29) opened the door for states to collect tolls on interstate highways to raise revenue for roadway repairs. Caravan Salon Adding Two Exhibit Halls for ’14

Caravan Salon Düsseldorf 2014 is expanding with the addition of two exhibit halls. The show, set to run Aug. 30 through Sept. 7, will now encompass 11 halls in Germany’s Düsseldorf Exhibition Centre along with outside display areas.
