The Shediac, New Brunswick, council gave the go-ahead Monday night (April 28) to a controversial 708-site RV park in the popular tourist town. People packed the Shediac Town Hall for the vote. Many held signs opposing the move, saying “Conflict of Interest,” “Do the right thing” and “We’re taxpayers too,” CBC News reported. The RV park would become the largest business in the region. U.S. Consumer Confidence Edges Down in April

U.S. consumer confidence fell in April over concerns about hiring and business conditions, even though many people foresee a strengthening economy in the months ahead. According to an Associated Press report, the Conference Board said Tuesday (April 29) that its confidence index dropped to 82.3 from a March reading of 83.9. Alberta Dealer Convicted in Fraudulent Scheme

An 11-person jury convicted a former Millet, Alberta RV dealer guilty of 31 counts of fraud over $5,000 under Section 380(1)(a) of the Criminal Code on April 26, 2014. According to a press release, the jury found Arnold Donszelmann guilty of defrauding 36 consumers.
