An 11-person jury convicted a former Millet, Alberta RV dealer guilty of 31 counts of fraud over $5,000 under Section 380(1)(a) of the Criminal Code on April 26, 2014.

According to a press release, the jury found Arnold Donszelmann guilty of defrauding 36 consumers.

The Alberta Motor Vehicle Industry Council (AMVIC) laid the charges that led to Donszelmann’s conviction in 2012.

“AMVIC as the regulator for the RV industry is pleased to see a guilty verdict in what has been a long investigation and lengthy trial,” John Bachinski, executive director of AMVIC said.

AMVIC cancelled Donszelmann’s business licence in 2007.

Sentencing is scheduled for May 28 at the Edmonton Law Courts.
