Brit OEM Uses 2-Ton Transit as Campervan Base

Devon, England-based Murvi Motorcaravans is set to launch two models based on the all-new 2-ton Ford Transit, a larger version of the Transit Custom. Out & About Live reported that these are likely among the first campervans built on the brand new base vehicle.

The Ford Murvi Pimento and the Ford Murvi Morello join a lineup of Fiat Ducato-based models and will retail from $78,495 and $81,090, respectively.

The Pimento is based on a high-roof, medium-wheelbase van while the Morello is on a high-roof, long-wheelbase van. Both conversions come with features such as dual airbags, ABS, ESP, Hill Start Assist, lane keeping assist system, Enhanced Dynamic Cornering Control (EDCC) and ASR traction control, as standard.
