Canyon Trail Brings ‘Great Room’ Concept to RVs
Yellowstone RV reported that its new 32FRKT Canyon Trail “Advanced Profile” fifth-wheel, featuring an open kitchen and great room concept, has been generating interest and turning sales at dealers’ lots and on the spring show circuit. Yellowstone RV is a division of Gulf Stream Coach Inc.
The rear kitchen layout of the 32FRKT features a U-shaped workspace with extensive multi-level counters, raised panel cabinetry, and plenty of room for upscale stainless steel appliances, including a 23-cubic foot residential refrigerator/freezer option that comes with a 1000-watt inverter and 100 Amp converter. The kitchen also features a raised breakfast bar and stools and an angle-mounted sink with two corner windows. It is immediately adjacent to a freestanding dining table with four dining chairs.
The dining area shares a deep atrium slide with two leather-touch glider recliners, while on the opposite wall, an additional slide features an oversized 92-inch L-shaped leather-touch Lane hide-a-bed lounge sofa and overhead storage. The “Rock Wall” entertainment center serves as a centerpiece in the great room layout, offering an AM/FM/CD/DVD/Blue Tooth multi-speaker Home Theater System while providing connections for an optional 50-inch flat screen HD TV mounted on a multi position swing arm bracket.
The bath of the 32FRKT offers a residential feel with a porcelain toilet, large 30-inch-by-48-inch shower with molded seat, a counter-mounted bronze glass vessel sink basin, and plenty of linen cabinet space.
The master bedroom suite includes a bed slide to provide maximum floor space, premium I-Gel memory foam Queen bed mattress with ABS-lined under-bed storage (a 70-inch-by-80-inch king bed is an available option), bedside night shelves, overhead cabinetry with bookshelf and “his ‘n hers” reading lights, cross ventilating windows, and a pull-out clothes hamper. The wall opposite the bed includes a picture window, vanity with four full-size drawers and hookups for a wall-mount flat screen TV that has a quick release bracket that allows the TV to be easily moved to the basement for outdoor entertainment. The forward wall features a cedar-lined wardrobe with a full width valet rod as well as connections for an optional washer/dryer unit.
Like all “Advanced Profile” models, the 32FRKT is built as a true four-season coach, with the Yellowstone RV’s “Extreme Weather Protection” package, two-inch laminated walls, welded aluminum frame, painted fiberglass front cap, and frameless tinted safety glass windows. Storage is also a strong point, with three-sided access to the insulated basement that includes a highly functional folding bulkhead wall to organize and stabilize stored cargo.
