Forest River Underwrites Elkhart Jazz Festival

Elkhart, Ind., officials announced Friday (May 30) that Forest River Inc. will serve as a new corporate sponsor for the city’s Jazz Festival, a three-day event that kicks off June 20. Thor Ind. Board Approves Quarterly Dividend

Thor Industries Inc. announced that its board approved at its May 30 meeting the payment of a regular quarterly dividend of $0.23 per share. The regular dividend is payable on June 27 to shareholders of record at the close of business on June 13. Auto Retailers Spend Billions for Compliance

Franchised new-car dealers in the United States spent a combined $3.2 billion in 2012 to meet federal regulations, a report released today said. Dealers spent the money to comply with 61 major federal rules, the report said. Report: Consumer Spending Dips During April

U.S. consumers cut back on spending in April for the first time in a year, taking an unexpected pause after a big jump during the previous month. The results, however, are unlikely to derail an expected spring rebound in the economy. USA Today reported that consumer spending, which accounts for 70% of overall economic activity, fell 0.1% in April, the Commerce Department said Friday. The drop was the first in 12 months. Adobe is about to release its “Travel 2014 Report” and gave Yahoo Travel an exclusive sneak peek at the inside scoop on world travel. Victims Tell Stories in Canadian Dealer Scam

An RV dealer convicted of defrauding 36 people of thousands of dollars listened expressionless as some of them told their stories in an Edmonton court room.. CBC News reported that Arnold Donszelmann sold motorhomes to people through his dealership Leisure RV in Millett, Alta. and leased the vehicles for them. Former Forest River Inc. Worker is Sentenced

A former Forest River Inc. employee found guilty of stealing from the company was sentenced to three years in prison Thursday, May 29, according to the Elkhart County Prosecutor’s Office. The Elkhart Truth reported that Kristian Horn was given the maximum sentence allowed for a class D felony conviction in Elkhart Superior Court 5.
