FRVTA Holds Successful RV Day at the Capitol
For the last few years, the FRVTA in conjunction with the Florida Association of RVs and Campgrounds (FARVC) has hosted a barbecue for legislators at a local campground. This year, however, the RVs rolled right into the Capitol Courtyard.
“RV Day at the Capitol” was held March 31 in Tallahassee and the visibility in the courtyard between the capitol and the capitol museum was outstanding.
Five RVs were open and on display, including two motorhomes, a fifth-wheel, travel trailer and a Class B motorhome. Also, displays from FARVC and FRVTA highlighted the importance of the RV Industry to the State of Florida.
“I’d like to thank the FRVTA board members, participating dealers and FARVC for helping us put together this great event,” said Dave Kelly, FRVTA marketing director. “This being the first time in the courtyard, we learned a few things, like everyone in Tallahassee always seems to be late for a meeting. I do think, however, that the event at the campground allowed attendees more time to view the RVs and learn more about our industry.”
