RVDA: Booth Space for ’14 Expo is 56% Sold
Exhibit space is going fast for the 2014 RV Dealers International Convention/Expo. The host Recreation Vehicle Dealers Association (RVDA) reported in a news release that booth sales are outpacing last year’s sales with 56% of space already taken. The convention/expo is the premier education and networking event of the year for North America’s RV dealers.
“We are thrilled with the pace of sales and registrations this year,” said RVDA Marketing Manager Julie Newhouse. “We appreciate the incredible support the RV industry community has shown for this year’s event and look forward to a great turnout. The expo is a highlight of the week for all of our dealers, so a bustling exhibit hall is great news for them.”
The convention/expo begins on Nov. 10 with board meetings, education through Vendor Training +Plus, and Partners in Progress meetings. The opening general session will take place on Nov. 11 and education will continue through Nov. 14, with time for Partners in Progress meetings, receptions and meals in the expo hall, and education for all fixed-operations and rental managers.
Dealers are encouraged to arrive in time to take advantage of education opportunities on Monday and Tuesday so they get their full five days of education and training. For those who can’t be away all week, dealers attending can register staff for just the two-day Vendor Training +Plus for a low rate of $195 that includes a reception and chance to attend the expo and opening general session. The opening general session keynote speaker is Doug Lipp, a renowned trainer who headed the training team at Disney’s corporate headquarters in the ‘80s.
The registration rate has been kept low, with discounts for additional staff and more opportunities to learn through Vendor Training +Plus and shorter education workshops that are more targeted and fast-paced. RVDA also continues to offer helpful registration payment plans, including an easy pay plan of three payments and the ability to lock in early rates for additional employees with one paid convention registration.
Themed “Passport to Excellence: Education & Training,” the convention program has been enriched to reflect the importance of training and education for all dealership staff, with programs for young executives and a new track that will focus on digital marketing and social media. There will be track workshops for dealers/GMs and managers in sales, service, parts, and rental operations.
The 2014 convention will feature an exhibit hall filled with the RV industry’s top companies offering products and services to help dealers improve profitability. In addition, RVDA’s Partners in Progress committees will meet to work on important dealer-manufacturer issues and those meetings will be spread throughout the week to assist dealers in their scheduling.
