Utah Retailer Blaine Jensen Passes Away at 89
The Recreation Vehicle Dealers Association (RVDA) regrets to inform the membership that Blaine Jensen, founder of Blaine Jensen RV and father of RVDA Past Chairman Craig Jensen, died on May 4 of natural causes. He was 89.
Jensen served in the Army in WWII, where his unit received a Presidential Citation for their part in the liberation of Germany. After the war, Jensen spent 20 years in the car business before founding Blaine Jensen RV in the late 1960s. Jensen was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter-day Saints and very active in his community.
Jensen is survived by his wife of 67 years, Joyce, four sons, Jerry, Craig, Robert, and Scott, three daughters, Rebecca, Lora, and Nancy, one sister, Evelyn Petersen Harris, 39 grandchildren and 92 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held May 10 at 11 a.m. at the Plain City Stake Center, 2190 N 4650 W, Plain City, Utah. A viewing will be held at the church on May 9 from 5-8 p.m. and Saturday prior to the service from 9:15-10:15 a.m.
Memorial donations may be made in Jensen’s memory to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation for his great-granddaughter, Molly.
