EverGreen Raffle to Aid Willpower Campaign
Will Mishler is a 15-year-old student at Northridge High School in Middlebury, Ind. In September 2012, he suffered a football injury that resulted in a doctor visit.
He was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma, a rare form of nerve cancer. Within weeks, Mishler was transported to Riley’s Children’s Hospital in Indianapolis for an open thoracotomy to remove the baseball-sized tumor.
The Willpower Campaign is a nonprofit, grassroots effort to help Will’s family with the devastating cost of cancer care, type 1 diabetes and rehabilitation. Mishler’s dad, Jim, is a product engineer with EverGreen Recreational Vehicles’ Lifestyle Luxury RV division.
For the last year-and-a-half, Mishler has battled this rare cancer along with myriad ailments and missed school days.
EverGreen Recreational Vehicles LLC is supporting Mishler with a raffle of a 6-foot by 12-foot $5,100 Stealth Titan trailer and the sale of wristbands to help offset some of the costs of his medical treatments. Willpower T-shirts will be distributed at the company’s annual picnic to kick-off the Willpower Campaign on July 19 with the raffle drawing to be held on Aug. 1. All proceeds of the raffle and wristband sales will go to the Mishler Family.
Mishler’s mom, Amy, works a varied schedule as a nurse, a medic and a firefighter. “Will has had numerous medical complications as a result of his cancer diagnosis. We make frequent visits to oncology/hematology, pulmonology, endocrine, endocrinology nutritionist, ophthalmology, gastroenterology, radiology, labs and therapies,” said Amy. “Will is very faithful. He has put his faith in God to help him through the difficulties he faces each day. We also thank God for all the assistance people are providing us through the WillPower campaign.”
