The Recreation Vehicle Industry Association (RVIA) will hold its 1st Annual Spring California RV Show featuring RV and supplier products exhibits April 15–19 at the Fairplex in Pomona.
“There was tremendous interest from the dealer community and our members for a spring RVIA show given the strong interest among California consumers in RV travel and camping,” said Tom Gaither, the association’s western show director, stated in a press release. “We believe this show will be a great way to kick off the spring selling season and be a strong complement to our fall California RV Show.”
Exhibit space will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis. Exhibits can include dealers’ new and used inventory as long as the display meets the 70%-to-30% new-to-used ratio. Exhibitors purchasing space for this inaugural event will then have seniority for space selection in future years.
California remains one of the top RV markets in the country, ranking as the second most popular destination for RV wholesale shipments with 6.36% of all RVs produced in 2013 headed to the Golden State. Last October, total attendance at RVIA’s California RV Show jumped by 39% with 28,894 attendees versus 20,756 attendees the previous year.
