An international recreational vehicle and boat components maker plans to more than double its warehouse space in Goshen, Ind., the Elkhart Truth reported.

Dometic, which distributes refrigerators, air conditioners and toilets for RVs and boats from a facility at the northeast corner of Century Drive and Kercher Road, will increase the size of that building from 125,000 square feet to 250,000 square feet, said Jim Menefee, vice president of operations for Dometic Americas.

The company will close warehouses it leases in Sturgis, Schoolcraft and Three Rivers, Mich., along with one on C.R. 19, and consolidate those operations at the Goshen site.

“This will put more product from Dometic right in the backyards of our OEMs,” Menefee said, referring to original equipment manufacturers, the term often used to describe RV manufacturers. “We’re still adding more square footage than what we’re closing down, to give us more space to add inventory as the market grows.”
