Linda and Ted Corley drove all the way from Lilburn, Ga., to attend the 3rd Annual International Rally of the Forest River Owners’ Group (FROG), which is running this week at the Elkhart County Fairgrounds in Goshen, Ind.

The couple has seen the event grow since its inception in 2012 when it drew 200 FROG members. Last year’s rally attracted 350 people while this year’s edition boasted over 500 attendees.

“We come back every year because of the friendships we make,” Linda Corley said. “Last year, we met people from Detroit and Canada, and this year we came up early so we could visit with them before the rally.”

Along with six nights of camping and camaraderie, members can inspect Forest River’s latest models that are displayed at the fairgrounds. Other activities include group dinners and breakfasts, entertainment, factory tours, factory service opportunities, vendor exhibits, seminars, prizes, and several optional tours, many of which have sold out. In addition, members of Forest River’s executive management team addressed attendees during a Monday night dinner.

Bob Byrne, executive director of FROG, reported that the organization has grown to 28,000 member families, adding that he’s “very encouraged by the tremendous response” at this year’s rally.

“We have over 40 vendors and 65 seminars, and also increased the number of factory tours where about 450-460 people are taking part in the field trip tours,” Byrne told RVBUSINESS.com while navigating his golf cart through paths crowded with people. “We actually could have accommodated more campers but we maxed out the dining room.”

One benefit for FROG members is the availability of free repairs during the rally. Byrne said there are as many as 125 RV technicians performing service repairs each day during the rally, crediting the idea to Forest River CEO Pete Liegl.

“Pete told us, ‘We stand behind our products. If there’s a problem, we’ll fix it,’” Byrne said.

The rally concludes on Saturday. For more information visit www.forestriverfrog.com.
