The chief marketing officer of a global manufacturer said its new U.S. headquarters in Elkhart, Ind., will serve as “central hub for innovation” of its wide array of products geared toward high-end consumers.

Inside INdiana Business reported that during a Thursday (May 18) unveiling event, Matt Fidler said the 35,000-square-foot facility – adjacent to the RV/MH Hall of Fame – would be Furrion’s “gateway of technology to the U.S. recreational vehicle, home, yacht and business industries.” The company has its headquarters in Hong Kong, as well as a presence in Europe, Australia and the U.S.

Furrion manufactures and markets luxury items ranging from kitchen appliances to fireplaces, “smart” bathroom technology to home entertainment equipment like televisions, electronic components to solar power gear, and its newest endeavor — the “Prosthesis” exo-bionic mech racing suit.

The company debuted the suit in January at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas and said training for mech “pilots” and research and development for new versions of the technology will all be housed in Elkhart.
