Canadian motorhome registrations continued to surge through July, as overall sales showed a 43.5% gain for the first seven months of 2017.
According to the latest report from Statistical Surveys Inc. (SSI), Thor Industries Inc. was the motorized sales leader for the first seven months, capturing a 41.1% market share, ahead of Forest River Inc. with a 37.4% share. Winnebago Industries Inc. was No. 3, owning 11.2% of the market.
Class A registrations rose 20.6% year-to-date. Thor led the segment with a 37.1% market share followed by Forest River (18.7%), Winnebago (12.7%) and Newmar Corp. (12.1%).
In the Class C sector, sales climbed 54.8% year-to-date. Forest River led the category with a 44.6% market share while Thor captured 42.6% and Winnebago had a 10.6% share.
