Canadian motorhome registrations continued to rise, as overall sales showed a 39.6% gain for the first eight months of 2017.
According to the latest report from Statistical Surveys Inc. (SSI), Thor Industries Inc. was the motorized sales leader through August, capturing a 41.1% market share, ahead of Forest River Inc. with a 36.8% share. Winnebago Industries Inc. was No. 3, owning 11.2% of the market.
Class A registrations rose 21.4% year-to-date as Thor led the segment with a 36.7% market share followed by Forest River (19.3%) and Winnebago (12.6%). Newmar Corp. and REV Group each owned 11.8% share.
In the Class C sector, sales climbed 48.9% year-to-date. Forest River led the category with a 44.2% market share while Thor captured 42.9% and Winnebago had a 10.6% share.
