Horizon Global, a leading manufacturer of branded towing and trailering equipment, announced that Erik Fritz, a heavy-duty design engineer, was recently recognized as one of Specialty Equipment Market Association’s (SEMA) “35 Under 35.”

Over the last five years, SEMA News has made it a tradition to release a list of 35 individuals who exemplify leadership skills, create and use modern technology, and take initiative to further advance products and methods in the automotive industry.

“I am incredibly thankful to have been selected for this award and look forward to what the future holds for me at Horizon Global,” said Fritz in a press release.

Fritz started as an intern with Horizon Global, designing two hitches for the company. In January 2017, he was hired as a full-time engineer and created a Draw-Tite-branded front-mount receiver that helped increase sales by more than $32,000 in 2016. Fritz’s most recent accomplishment was receiving a patent on an above-bed gooseneck adapter design.
