The Class C market continued to surge during the first nine months of 2017, pushing overall motorhome sales to an 11.1% increase compared to the same period a year ago.
According to the latest report from Statistical Surveys Inc. (SSI), Thor Industries Inc. was the motorized sales leader through September with a 41.7% market share, ahead of Forest River Inc. (23.4%) and Winnebago Industries Inc. (15.1%).
Class A motorhome sales were flat, down 0.4% year-to-date. Thor led the category for the nine months with a 34.6% market share followed by Forest River (14.5%), REV Recreation Group (14.2%), Winnebago (13.9%) and Tiffin Motorhomes Inc. (13.8%).
Class C sales gained 21.8% through September as Thor led the category with a 47.2% market share, followed by Forest River (30.1%) and Winnebago (16.1%).
