New Paris, Ind.-based Travel Lite RV will have four times the number of units on display during the upcoming National RV Trade Show in Louisville, Ky., compared to 2016.

The reason for the uptick, company officials said, is because Travel Lite has hit a sweet spot with its Falcon and F-Lite travel trailer lines as well as its selection of truck campers, all designed to be carried by half-ton pickups. In line with that demand, the New Paris, Ind.-based manufacturer is breaking ground this week on its new production facilities and headquarters set for completion next year.

Travel Lite will be showing all six models of its wedge-shaped Falcon, which carries an MSRP ranging from $16,500 to $21,600 and dry weights of about 3,700 pounds. The newest Falcon, the tandem axle 23RB with a walk-around queen bed and spacious bathroom, also will be on display.

In addition, Travel Lite will feature three F-Lite models, which have a base MSRP of $14,000 and a dry weight just shy of 1,700 pounds, as well as eight truck camper units, ranging price from $12,000 to $17,000.

Company officials told the one thing they are most concerned about heading into the Louisville Show is that dealers might not know where to find them. Travel Lite’s display will be located in the West Hall of the Kentucky Exposition Center, which is down a short hallway just behind the registration table. Several other companies are in West Hall also, including Freightliner Custom Chassis Corp. and Spartan Chassis.

“We’re just hoping that dealers will register, then come see us before they go see anything else,” said Travel Lite National Sales Manager Chuck Frederick.
