The Florida RV Trade Association (FRVTA) opened the doors for the 33rd Annual 2018 Florida RV SuperShow Wednesday (Jan. 17) to record-breaking crowds. According to a press release, just over 19,000 people attended opening day topping last year’s record by just over 200.
Great weather and an increased social media budget contributed to the increase. The SuperShow is held annually at the Florida State Fairgrounds in Tampa.
“Thanks to the manufacturers needing more space, this is the largest SuperShow we’ve ever had,” said FRVTA Executive Director Lance Wilson. “The weather is going to be just about perfect the rest of the week so we’re anticipating record crowds again this year.”
The theme of the 2018 Florida RV SuperShow is “Wherever You Roam, You’re Always at Home,” reflecting the strength of the outdoor recreation industry. In addition to the hundreds of RVs on display, attendees enjoyed an array of entertainment including clowns, unicycle riders, barbershop quartets and bagpipe bands.
