Construction underway at inTech’s Nappanee facility

Nappanee, Ind.-based inTech RV recently began the expansion of its new 42,000-square-foot manufacturing facility by adding a 6,700-square-foot mezzanine.

According to a press release, the additional space will enable inTech to take advantage of the building’s height and create additional space that will be utilized for cabinet production and other miscellaneous manufacturing needs.

The installation of the custom mezzanine is not disrupting the current manufacturing flow of the Luna or Flyer lines, which were well received at the Elkhart RV Open House and the National RV Trade Show in Louisville, Ky.

“We were overwhelmed at the success of the Luna teardrop trailer and continued success of the Flyer line,” said Rich Schnippel, director of RV operations. “The expansion was necessary not only to increase production, but to create the most efficient manufacturing environment possible.”

The building was completed during the summer of 2017 with the intention of being able to add a large mezzanine. “Our immediate need for the expansion came as a bit of a surprise,” Schnippel added, “but that’s really a good problem to have.”

inTech RV manufactures high-end, all-aluminum trailers that are primarily small and lightweight with distribution across the United States and Canada.
