With more states legalizing marijuana coupled with the opioid epidemic, employers need to have parameters in place to train, supervise, and provide the necessary tools to ensure a drug-free workplace. In response to the pressing issue KPA, in conjunction with the Mike Molino RV Learning Center, will present a webinar “Marijuana, Opioids & Your Workforce” on Feb. 22 from 1–2 p.m. (EST). KPA’s Gregory Arace will conduct the session.
According to a press release participants will learn:
- The state of opioid and marijuana use (recreational & medicinal).
- Steps to a drug-free workplace.
- Do’s and don’ts for supervisors and managers.
- Drug tests — random, reasonable, pre-employment.
Arace is a KPA HR consultant with 17-plus years of human resources experience, ranging in areas from recruitment, benefits, training and development to employee relations. He has a bachelor’s in English/Journalism from Adams State University in Alamosa, Colo.
