The 2018 Fourth of July holiday results for Kampgrounds of America Inc. locations were up slightly from the previous record-setting year in 2017, according to figures released today.

The holiday week, which ran from June 27 to July 8, showed an increase in occupancy of just under 1% from the same period in 2017, KOA reported in a press release.

Those 2018 results set a new record for Fourth of July holiday results for the 56-year history of Kampgrounds of America.

KOA camping results for major events and holidays have all been positive in 2018. KOA’s Care Camps Big Weekend in May was up 4.4% from last year; Memorial Day Weekend was up 2.1%; and Father’s Day Weekend was up 4% from the same period in 2017.

KOA’s Canadian properties have also fared well in 2018 as Victoria Day in May was up 3% and Canada Day on July 1 was up 1.6%.
