RV One Superstores Inc. announced an agreement to open its seventh location later this year located on U.S. 41 in Sarasota, Fla., according to a press release.

“By the end of 2018 our company will have opened five brand new facilities,” reported RV One President and CEO Don Strollo. “This includes Des Moines, Iowa, which opened this spring, our new Tampa location set to open Nov. 16, an Airstream stand-alone store also opening in November and our new Orlando location opening in December.

“We could not be happier with how 2018 is playing out,” he added. “Revenue is up 10% and we are expecting to reach $450 million in volume by year-end. What’s unique about RV One reaching this milestone is we have not done so through rapid acquisition but through fundamentals within our industry such as retention of exceptional staff, significant investment in facilities and personal professional customer service.”

While touting the company’s growth, Strollo acknowledged the reported “softening” at retail as a result of a significant increase in wholesale shipments unmatched to retail registrations in the last 12-18 months.

“As an industry we can’t just build more and more, and think the market won’t feel soft,” he said. “As retailers, it is important we continue to monitor inventory levels on a daily basis and control the flow that comes into our stores.

“While softening may be seen on the wholesale side, sophisticated retailers in our business remain strong. We simply won’t see a 2008 or 2009 again if dealers remain cautiously optimistic.”

RV One Superstores was recently named Jayco Inc.’s “Largest Dealer in the World” for the second year in a row. Strollo noted, “Partnerships between great manufacturers and retailers is critical to the continued success of our industry. Our relationship with Jayco is tremendous as their leadership understands and focuses on retail.”
