Richard LaVanture, president of LaVanture Products, Elkhart, Ind., which exhibited at the convention said, “This is our third year as an exhibitor and we have seen it really an increase in traffic. Our best show so far.”
The show has seen growth in RV-related products including Nappanee, Ind.-based ATC’s all-aluminum toy hauler which debuted earlier this year and was on display in Indianapolis. The 40-foot, 11,300 pound fifth-wheel has the capability to haul a full-size Jeep. Dale Davis, head of sales for ATC noted, “There is not a shred of a wood in it. It’s all aluminum 360 and features 200 gallons of fresh water and two 45-gallon waste tanks, and a 36-gallon gas tank for your toys. MSRP starts at $115,000.”
Eau Claire, Wis.-based CURT Group displayed new products that will be unveiled to the RV industry at the 10th annual Elkhart RV Open House Sept. 24-27, including the new Spectrum Brake Control. Territory Sales Manager Matt Fagan described the product as an “OE-style brake control that can be surface mounted on the dash or mounted with a couple of small quarter-inch holes or two-sided tape. MSRP starts at $229.”
Also exhibiting in Indy were numerous companies affiliated with the RV industry including Equalizer Systems, B&W Trailer Hitches, Kenda Tire, Forest River Cargo Division, Forest River Mobile Restroom Trailers, Demco Manufacturing, Dexter Wheel, Meyer Distributing, Northpoint Commercial Finance, Phoenix USA Inc., Ridewell Suspensions, Statistical Surveys Inc., Sys2K, Transfer Flow Inc., and Wells Fargo Commercial Distribution Finance.
