SSI: Canada Motorized Gains 3.1% for 7 Months

Year-over-year Canadian motorhome sales were flat for the first seven months of 2018 showing a 3.1% increase, according to the latest report from Statistical Surveys Inc.

Thor Industries Inc. was the Canadian motorhome sales leader during the period, capturing a 44.2% market share, followed by Forest River Inc. (34.4%) and Winnebago Industries Inc. (10.2%).

Class A registrations rose 5.7% for the seven months. Thor was No. 1 in the category with a 36% market share, ahead of Forest River (21.3%), REV Group (12.4%) and Winnebago (12.3%).

In the Class C segment, sales edged up 2.1% through July. Thor held the top spot with a 47.5% market share followed by Forest River (39.7%) and Winnebago (9.4%).
