LCI Names Carter as VP, Global Aftermarket

Lippert Components Inc. (LCI) announced the addition of Roy Carter as vice president of Global Aftermarket & Customer Support. According to a press release, Carter will be tasked with the oversight and strategy of the LCI aftermarket segment which includes channels in North America as well as globally in all the markets that LCI services.

Carter is a native of Scotland and has a long history of leading operations and sales in the global retail channel. Carter most recently worked for Bailey of Bristol Caravans & Motorhomes, a U.K. manufacturer of RVs and aftermarket accessories, where he helped grow the company’s aftermarket sales through new product introduction and dealer merchandising programs.

Before his work at Bailey of Bristol, he held executive leadership positions in several global retail organizations such as Adidas, Clark’s Footwear and FlexFoil where he held the responsibilities of developing new store concepts, merchandising standards, new product introduction and much more.

“Roy impressed me from the moment I met him with his knowledge of global retail marketplaces and his laser focus on industry and consumer trends, which is something that we think the industries that we serve are missing,” said Jason Lippert, CEO of LCI. “Roy also has an impressive track record of developing innovative concepts that have helped sell his products. LCI’s aftermarket segment has grown significantly over the last five years to over $200 million.

“We started our aftermarket business in the RV space and quickly moved into the marine space with the acquisition of Taylor Made,” Lippert added. “As we push forward, LCI has a need for someone who understands consumer needs and someone who can keep a consistent strategy and focus across all aftermarket businesses.”

Carter noted, “After three years developing new aftermarket solutions and products in the RV market in the U.K., Europe, and Australia, I’m excited to be joining the winning LCI family, globally known for their record in developing so many great leaders, including customer service and aftermarket.”
