Survey: Dec. Marine Dealer Sentiment Declines

Short-term marine dealer sentiment dropped again in December to 55, and the three- to five-year outlook entered negative territory at 42. Soundings Trade Only reported that those are the lowest readings of dealer sentiment since Baird began conducting its dealer poll in conjunction with the Marine Retailers Association of the Americas in 2013.  Marine retailers were less optimistic about current conditions than in November, with the index dropping from 64 to 55 in December. Yamaha Intros new Portable Inverter Generator

Yamaha Motor Corp. has introduced the EF2200iS to its line of portable inverter generators.  According to a press release, the EF2200iS is powered by Yamaha’s high-output MZ80 OHV, air-cooled, single cylinder four-stroke engine to deliver a maximum 2,200 watts of AC output, with a maximum AC current of 18.3 amps at 120 volts. SSI: Canada Coach Sales up 5.2% for 11 Months

Year-over-year Canadian motorhome sales posted a 5.2% gain for the first 11 months of 2018, according to the latest report from Statistical Surveys Inc. Thor Industries Inc. was the Canadian motorhome sales leader during the period, capturing a 44.5% market share, followed by Forest River Inc. (32.7%) and Winnebago Industries Inc. (9.4%). A nonprofit is launching a new fundraising campaign aimed at helping national parks recover after the current partial government shutdown ends. Powell: Fed Likely to Lower Rate Hike Forecast

Class B sales continued to post year-over-year sales growth during the first 11 months of 2018, as overall retail registrations climbed 28.5% in the period. Statistical Surveys Inc.
