The Recreation Vehicle Industry Association (RVIA) Presidential Search Committee has started the process to select the next president for the trade association. A Fresno, Calif., County Superior Court judge had no conflict of interest because he was a Facebook friend of a lawyer whose client got a $4.58 million judgment in his favor last year, a retired judge hired to study the case found. County in Oregon Proposing an ‘Urban RV Park’

A major deal involving Oregon’s Washington County and the city of Hillsboro proposes to spend up to $2 million to build what officials are calling a regional destination for recreational vehicles at the Washington State Fairgrounds. The Oregonian reported that under the proposed agreement, the city would pay to build an urban RV park on five acres of land now owned by the county. Idaho Considering Sponsorship for State Parks

A House panel has approved a proposal to let the Idaho Department of Parks and Recreation receive money from corporate sponsors. According to the Associated Press, the sponsorships would generate an estimated $20,000 in the first year and up to $100,000 in future years. Citing growing demand for its towable RVs, Middlebury, Ind.-based Grand Design RV plans a plant expansion that will create 35 new jobs paying an average $35 hourly rate, the company announced Friday (March 20).
