SSI: Towable Sales Up 6.9% in June, 12.7% YTD

Year-over-year towable retail registrations gained 6.9% in June and 12.7% for the first six months, according to the latest report from Statistical Surveys Inc. (SSI).  Results by category showed: Sales for the travel trailer segment climbed 7.7% for the month and 14.3% year-to-date. Fifth-wheel registrations were up 5.8% in June and 9.7% for the six months. Ligonier, Ind., has a labor problem. But it’s a problem some other small Indiana towns would love to wrestle with, according to a report by The Journal Gazette in Fort Wayne, Ind. SSI: Class B Segment Jumps 37.5% in 2nd Quarter

Class B retail sales climbed to 373 units in June 2017 compared to 303 units a year ago, a 23.1% increase. The segment has now reported a year-over-year increase each of the first six months. For the second quarter, the segment totaled 1,133 units, a 37.5% increase over the 891 units reported a year ago. Cavco Reports 118% Increase in 1Q Net Income

Cavco Industries Inc., a builder of manufactured homes and park model RVs, reported an 118.5% increase in net income for its first fiscal quarter of 2018, ended July 1. The Phoneix-based company noted that on April 3 it completed the acquisition of Lexington Homes Inc., which operates a manufactured and modular housing plant in Lexington, Miss.
