CWI is Opening Three Former Raper RV Outlets

Camping World Inc. and Good Sam Enterprises LLC announced the openings of three new supercenters in London, Ohio, Richmond, Ind. and Fairfield, Ohio. According to a press release, all three supercenters are former Tom Raper RV locations. Camping World finalized the acquisition in March. RVIA: Shipments Up 3% in June; Rise 5.5% YTD

Wholesale shipments to retailers of all RVs improved modestly in the June survey of manufacturers, rising 1% over the previous month and up 2.9% over the June total one year ago.  June’s increase reversed May’s small decline and returned RV shipments to its more recent trend line. Through June, RV wholesale shipments have now risen to 202,653 units, ahead of last year’s results by 5.5%. SSI: Canadian Towable Sales Off 12.6% For May

Editor’s Note: Statistical Surveys Inc. (SSI) reported that data was delayed in six Canadian provinces for the May towable totals. May is the largest volume month in Canada and the delayed registrations resulted in significant decreases in the two-year comparisons. SSI estimated the national volume for May which is reflected in the monthly and yearly comparisons.
