The RV Heating Systems course, hosted by Northampton Community College in conjunction with the Pennsylvania RV and Camping Association (PRVCA), opens Feb. 27 and runs through March 26. ‘MBA Rental School’ Reports Healthy Turnout

The 17th MBA RV Rental School was deemed “a huge success” by organizers, drawing 96 students and 118 attendees in total. The school ran Feb. 7-9 at the Tuscany Suites and Casino in Las Vegas. RVC Outdoor Destinations, a Memphis, Tenn.-based operator of 11 resorts across the U.S., reported that it finished 2016 with its best year ever. SSI: C’s Shine as ’16 Motorized Sales up 12.7%

The Class C segment finished 2016 strong as overall motorhome sales edged up 3.6% in December while gaining 12.7% for the full year. According to the latest report by Statistical Surveys Inc. (SSI), Thor Industries Inc. was the motorized sales leader for the 12 months with a 37.8% market share, ahead of Forest River Inc. (24.7%) and Winnebago Industries Inc. (17.1%). RVIA: Park Model RV Shipments Flat For 2016

According to the final numbers released by the Recreation Vehicle Industry Association (RVIA), the park model RV segment saw a 4.4% rise in December compared to December of 2015, and for the year wholesale shipment totals were essentially flat. The grand total of 3,669 park models shipped in 2016 was up only nine units, or 0.2%, over the 2015 total, according to RVIA. Hymer to Acquire U.K.-Based Explorer Group

Germany-based Erwin Hymer Group, Europe’s largest manufacturer of motorhomes and towable RVs, has agreed to acquire The Explorer Group Ltd., a leading U.K. RV manufacturer, including all of its subsidiaries.
