SSI: Towable RV Sales Enjoy 11.2% Growth YTD

Year-over-year towable sales continued to roll in 2017, posting an 11.2% gain for the first seven months, according to the latest report from Statistical Surveys Inc. (SSI).  Results by category showed: Sales for the travel trailer segment climbed 12.5% year-to-date. Fifth-wheel registrations were up 8.7% for the seven months. With southeast Texas still recovering from Hurricane Harvey, most of Florida is bracing for the impact of Hurricane Irma, now a Category 5 storm laying devastation to the Leeward Islands and Puerto Rico. RVIA: July Shipment Totals are Best in 40 Years

The Recreation Vehicle Industry Association’s (RVIA) July survey of manufacturers found RV wholesale shipments finished at 32,936, an increase of 16.2% over the 28,350 units shipped in July 2016.  This represents the best July shipment total in 40 years.
