Drew Posts Higher 1Q Income on Record Sales

Drew Industries Inc,, parent to supplier Lippert Components Inc., today reported net income of $20.1 million, or 82 cents per diluted share, for the first quarter ended March 31, compared to net income of $16.2 million, or 67 cents per diluted share, for the previous year. RV Sales Boost Patrick Ind. First-Quarter Gains

Elkhart, Ind.-based supplier Patrick Industries Inc. today (April 30) reported double-digit gains in revenue and net income for its first quarter, boosted by strong RV performance. Net sales for the first quarter increased $53.3 million, or 31.3%, to $223.4 million from $170.1 million in the same quarter of 2014. RVIA: Wholesale Shipments Up 8.5% in March

Wholesale shipments of all RVs improved 8.5% in the March survey of manufacturers this year to 36,535 units, the best March totals since 2007, according to a release by the Recreation Vehicle Industry Association. Overall, shipment totals were very strong, with towables ahead 9.6%. Motorhomes were ahead slightly with totals for each vehicle category comparable to one year ago.
