RVB/Wells-Fargo Survey Reveals Upbeat Outlook

The RV industry, after eight consecutive years of expansion, remains in a growth mode according to a commanding majority of the 195 respondents to the 2018 RVB/Wells-Fargo All-Industry Survey. Led by a robust Class C market, overall motorized sales rose 10.7% for 2017, according to the latest report from Statistical Surveys Inc. (SSI). ELS Posts 6.3% Fiscal Year 2017 Revenue Growth

Chicago-based Equity LifeStyle Properties Inc. (ELS) reported a 7.5% increase in revenue for its fourth-quarter, ended Dec. 31, 2017.  Total revenues increased $16 million to $230 million compared to $214 million for the same period in 2016. RV wholesale shipments finished 2017 with 504,599 units up 17.2% compared to the 430,691 units shipped in 2016. The Recreation Vehicle Industry Association’s (RVIA) December survey of manufacturers reported RV wholesale shipments finished at 36,227, an increase of 9.9% from the 32,970 units shipped last December. December 2017 shipment total is the best December on comparable record.
