Justin Leighty Justin D. Leighty, a 41 year-old Warsaw, Ind., resident and Midwest Editor of RVBusiness magazine, passed away on the evening of June 27 from injuries sustained in a one-vehicle accident on a rural Kansas road where he had gone with his family to help with the wheat harvest at his family farm as he did every year at about this time. Winnebago Reports 75% Gain in Sales During 3Q

Forest City, Iowa-based Winnebago Industries Inc. reported a 75.1% increase in revenue during its fiscal 2017 third quarter ended May 27, 2017, lifted by the company’s acquisition of towable builder Grand Design Recreational Vehicles Co. completed last November. SSI: Towable Sales Rise 4.5% in April, 11.9% YTD

Year-over-year towable retail registrations gained 4.5% in April and 11.9% for the first four months, according to the latest report from Statistical Surveys Inc. (SSI).  Results by category showed: Sales for the travel trailer segment climbed 6% for the month and 13.8% year-to-date. Thor Reports Record 3Q Profits, $2B in Revenues

Elkhart, Ind.-based Thor Industries Inc. today (June 5) announced record third-quarter net income and revenues through a combination of organic growth in both towable and motorized RVs, and the inclusion of the results from Jayco Inc., which was acquired on June 30, 2016.
