HUD Rule Interpretation Threatens Park Models

RVIA: Shipments Gain 5.8% in Aug.; Up 9% YTD

August wholesale shipments to retailers continued to cruise along, rising 5.8% above this same month last year to 26,441 units. As with recent months, towable RVs reflected the largest unit gains while motorhomes grew by the largest percentage gain. Cavco Interested in Acquisition of Skyline Corp.

Cavco Industries Inc. announced Friday (Sept. 26) its interest in a potential acquisition of Skyline Corp., a publicly-traded company, at “a significant market premium.” The announcement came shortly after news of a tentative agreement to sell Skyline’s RV division to EverGreen Recreational Vehicles LLC was released.
