RVDA reported attendance was up 16% at Con/Expo (Photo by Shawn Spence) After two compliance seminars this (Nov. 9) morning, the 2018 National RV Dealers Association Convention & Expo will come to a close and, by all accounts, the event has been deemed an unqualified success. SSI: Towable Sales Gain 5.2% for Nine Months

Towable sales were up slightly for the first nine months of 2018 as overall retail registrations gained 5.2% According to the latest report from Statistical Surveys Inc. (SSI), results by category showed: Travel trailer sales climbed 5.2% for the nine months. Fifth-wheel registrations rose 7.2% through September. Camping World 3Q Revenue Up, Income Down

Camping World Holdings Inc. reported a 6.2% increase in revenue to $1.3 billion for its third quarter, ended Sept. 30. Net income during the period was $47.9 million, or 38 cents per diluted share, compared with $83.7 million, or 66 cents per diluted share, a year ago. Other highlights include: Gross profit increased 5.9% to $376.3 million and gross margin was flat at 28.7%. Spartan 3Q Revenue Rises; Chassis Sales Grow

RVIA: RV Shipments Retreat 29% in September

The RV Industry Association’s (RVIA) September survey of manufacturers found that total RV shipments finished the month at 30,969, representing a decrease of 29% from the 43,598 units shipped last September. Towable RVs, led by conventional travel trailers, totaled 27,239 units for the month, a decrease of 29.3% compared to last September’s towable RV shipment total of 38,543. Patrick Sees 41% Rise in 3Q Sales; RVs up 30%

Elkhart, Ind.-based Patrick Industries Inc. reported a 41% increase in revenue during its third quarter, ended Sept. 30, lifted by strong RV performance. Net sales for the third quarter increased $167.6 million to $575.1 million from $407.5 million in the same quarter of 2017. Winnebago Full-Year Revenue Exceeds $2 Billion

Forest City, Iowa-based Winnebago Industries Inc. reported a 17.9% increase in revenue for its fiscal fourth quarter, ended Aug. 25, while net income rose 19.5%. Revenues during the period totaled $536.2 million compared to $454.9 million in the year-ago period.
