‘Operational Challenges’ Impact Winnebago 1Q

Winnebago Industries Inc. today reported a drop in net income on flat sales for the company’s fiscal 2015 first quarter, impacted by “operational challenges.” Revenues for the first quarter, ended Nov. 29, were $224.4 million, an increase of 0.8% versus $222.7 million for the fiscal 2014 first quarter. GE Capital Survey: Expectations High for 2015

Optimism remains high in the recreational vehicle industry, according to survey results released today by GE Capital’s Commercial Distribution Finance (CDF) business. GE Capital reported that 41% of survey respondents said they expect sales to rise 5% to 10% next year, and an additional 26% expect RV sales to grow 10% to 15%. RVIA Says Louisville Show Attendance Falls 3%

The Recreation Vehicle Industry Association’s (RVIA) National RV Trade Show, which concluded in Louisville, Ky., yesterday (Dec. 4), reported attendance for the three-day event was 7,525 representing a 3% decrease from 7,751 last year. Dealer attendance dropped 4% year-over-year from 2,548 in 2013 to 2,454 while the total number of buyers showed a 2% decline from 2,874 to 2,813. Thor Industries Reporting 15% Q1 Sales Growth
