SSI: Motorized Sales See 10.8% Rise for 11 Months

The Class C market continued to climb while Class A sales remained flat for the first 11 months of 2017, as overall sales rose 10.8% compared to the same period a year ago. RVIA: Shipments Climb 19.6% for Nov., 17.8% YTD

The Recreation Vehicle Industry Association’s (RVIA) November survey of manufacturers found RV wholesale shipments finished at 41,451, an increase of 19.6% from the 34,670 units shipped last November. November 2017 shipment total is the best November on comparable record. RV wholesale shipments have reached 468,383 through 11 months of 2017, up 17.8% compared to the 397,721 units shipped over the same period last year. Proven Industries President Ron Lee Proven Industries, a Port Richey, Fla.-based manufacturer of heavy-duty trailer coupler locks for the aftermarket, traces its roots to the theft of the family-owned company’s cargo trailer almost a decade ago. Winnebago Industries Inc. reported significant gains in revenue and net income for the company’s fiscal first quarter, ended Nov. 25.
