SSI: Motorhome Sales Enjoy 9.7% Gain For April

April motorhome retail registrations rose 9.7% compared to the same period a year ago while sales for the four months grew 11.2%. According to the latest report by Statistical Surveys Inc. (SSI), Forest River Inc. was the motorized sales leader through April with a 27.8% market share, ahead of Thor Industries Inc. (25.4%) and Winnebago Industries Inc. (18.9%) share. FCCC President & CEO Harbin To Retire July 31

Bob Harbin Freightliner Custom Chassis Corp. (FCCC) announced the retirement of President and CEO Bob Harbin, effective July 31. The company reported in a release that Harbin will be succeeded by David Carson, who currently serves as general manager of Human Resources for parent Daimler Trucks North America (DTNA). Elkhart Ind.-based Thor Industries Inc. today (June 4) announced record sales and net income from continuing operations for the third quarter, ended April 30, compared with impressive results from the third quarter of fiscal 2014. Mac Bryan The recreational vehicle industry’s shipments will reach 380,000 units in 2015, a 6.5% increase from the 356,735 shipped in 2014.
