SSI: Trailer Sales Drive June Towables Up 15.7%

Year-over-year towable RV retail registrations grew 15.7% in June and 16.7% for the first six months of 2015, according to the latest report from Statistical Surveys Inc. (SSI). Results by category showed: Sales for the high volume travel trailer segment jumped 18.6% for the month and 20.1% year-to-date. SSI: June Motorized Sales Record 12.1% Growth

June motorhome retail registrations rose 12.1% compared to the same period a year ago while sales for the six months grew 14.3%. According to the latest report by Statistical Surveys Inc. (SSI), Forest River Inc. was the motorized sales leader through June with a 27.6% market share, ahead of Thor Industries Inc. (24.8%) and Winnebago Industries Inc. (19.7%) share. Drew Industries Inc., parent to key supplier Lippert Components Inc., today (Aug. 4) reported record revenue for its second quarter behind by strong RV segment performance, boosted by a series of RV-related acquisitions in 2014 and the first half of 2015. Acquisitions, RV Revenue Lift Patrick’s 2Q Profit

Elkhart, Ind.-based Patrick Industries Inc. today (July 30) reported a 30.8% increase in net income for its second quarter compared to the same period last year, lifted by strong RV sales performance coupled with six RV-related acquisitions completed in 2014 and the first six months of 2015.
