Camping World Holdings Inc. announced plans for rapid expansion in the state of Virginia, with an expansive supercenter planned in the Richmond area, according to a release. RVIA: Nov. Shipments up 26.9%; Best on Record

Deliveries to retailers of all RVs were reported at 34,670 units in the November survey of manufacturers by the Recreation Vehicle Industry Association (RVIA), representing a 26.9% increase from the same month last year. This was the largest November total on record and represented a seasonally adjusted annual rate of more than 425,000 units. Towables Propel Winnebago to 1Q Income Gains

Winnebago Industries Inc. today (Dec. 21) posted a 37.2% increase in net income for its fiscal 2017 first quarter, ended Nov. 26, driven by improved performance in the company’s towable division. SSI: Towable Sales Rise 4.1% in Oct., 12.2% YTD

Year-over-year towable retail registrations grew 4.1% in October, again lifted by the high-volume travel trailer market, while posting a 12.2% increase for the first 10 months. The Recreation Vehicle Industry Association’s (RVIA) 54th annual National RV Trade Show ended Dec. 1 after a robust display of industry participation that included dealers, suppliers, manufacturers and media converging on the Kentucky Exposition Center in Louisville. Thor Industries Inc. today (Nov. 28) reported record first-quarter net income of $78.7 million, or $1.49 per diluted share, on record revenues of $1.71 billion for the first quarter ended Oct. 31.
