After travelling more than 10,000 miles through 24 states, Adams is bringing his state-of-the-art RV, which serves as a traveling showcase for green building, to the 2010 Snowbird RV Show and Sale, which runs Thursday through Sunday (Sept. 23-26) at the Tradex in Abbotsford, British Columbia, the Abbotsford Times reported.

“It’s gone from grampy’s fossil-fueled fossil to a renewable energy field trip that runs on 100 per cent renewable energy,” Adams said.

Adams quit his job and sold his house in 2006 to create the SolTrekker, which he’s turned into a non-profit organization dedicated to spreading awareness of sustainability through green building practices, renewable energy and efficient design.

He tours North America giving tips for greening RVs and showing people sustainable practices they can adopt to become more self-sufficient. His eco-friendly motorhome has a 100% biodiesel engine with vegetable oil conversion, four solar panels that store enough energy to run all electrical systems and power appliances, two panels to store heat to supply hot water for days, and more.

With more than 50 exhibitors and 180,000 square feet of display space – indoors and out – the RV show showcases the latest in recreation vehicles, accessories, gadgets, travel destinations and more. For more information visit www.RVShowsBC.ca.
