Columbia Northwest Inc./Aliner has announced the appointment of Adventure RV of Napa Napa, Calif., as the exclusive retailer for their Aliner brand of hard-sided, A-frame folding trailers in the North Bay area.
Located at 473 Soscol Ave. in Napa, the family-owned dealership was looking for a unique, light-weight trailer for the new wave of crossover, minivan driving customers, according to a news release.
According to Dennis Smith, president of Adventure RV, “Aliner is really the right product for today’s fuel economy-conscious camper. The typical Aliner weighs in around 1,500 pounds so it can be towed with a wide variety of passenger cars, small size SUVs and minivans. Our customers can use the vehicle they already own, instead of buying something bigger that uses more fuel just to go camping. That’s a huge factor in their purchasing decision.”
“We are absolutely delighted to have three generations of the Adventure RV family representing our products in California,” said Ned Collins, president of Columbia Northwest. “Their stability, professional staff and tremendous reputation for customer service are exactly what we look for in a retail partner.”
Aliners, noted for their easy, 30-second set-up time and unique A-frame shape, have been manufactured for over 26 years, but the product is experiencing tremendous sales growth as a new wave of eco-friendly, Baby Boomer consumers collide with 21st century fuel prices. As Smith from Adventure RV Napa puts it, “In the RV business, being light is not a niche anymore. Light-weight products are the fastest growing part of the business, and our Aliner buyers will be a big part of that growth.”
