Aliner's new storage compartments

Columbia Northwest Inc./Aliner announced it will now offer newly designed, optional storage compartments for its Aliner line of campers.

By offering the only dual box-tray compartment, Mt. Pleasant, Pa.-based Aliner is “looking to fill an integral gap in the camper market and set the standard for future development in the industry,” according to a press release.

The new, removable storage box offers increased storage and versatility with 30 cubic feet of additional storage. The 100% waterproof compartment can be removed from its frame, revealing a storage tray for bulky or dirty items. The company said this feature is unique to Aliner, as other competitors offer either a box or tray, but not both on the same camper.

“As a company dedicated to constantly improving and upgrading our products, we are proud to offer the first dual box-tray storage compartment,” says Ned Collins, CEO of Columbia Northwest. “As we became aware of the strong consumer demand for such a product, we decided that we could best utilize our technology to provide a cutting-edge option that is unique to the camper industry.”

The Aliner storage box also features lockable full-length, top access and side access doors with an interior light. Removal and re-installation of the storage compartment takes less than ten minutes.

Columbia Northwest Names Exclusive Dealer

November 2, 2010 by · Leave a Comment

Columbia Northwest Inc., the original manufacturer of lightweight camping trailers, has announced the appointment of Little Guy Trailers in San Diego, Calif., as the exclusive retailer for their Aliner brand of hard-sided, A-Frame folding trailers in the San Diego area.

Located at 8170 Ronson Rd Suite O in San Diego, the dealership specializes in hard-to-find, compact, lightweight trailers, according to a news release.

“We are absolutely delighted to have Little Guy Trailers representing our products” Ned Collins, president of Columbia Northwest, stated in a news release. “The professional staff at Little Guy really understands the small trailer buyer. They know how to sell to this growing market, and they are known for taking care of their customers, which is exactly what we want in a retailer.”

According to Mark Hagen, president of Little Guy Trailers, “Aliner is really the right product for today’s fuel economy conscious camper. The typical Aliner weighs in around 1,500 pounds so it can be towed by a wide variety of passenger cars, small size SUVs and mini-vans. Our customers can use the vehicle they already own, instead of buying something that uses more fuel just to go camping. That’s really driving their purchasing decision.”

Aliners, legendary for their easy, 30-second set-up time and unique A-Frame shape, have been manufactured for over 26 years, but the product is experiencing tremendous sales growth as a new wave of eco-friendly, Baby Boomer consumers collide with 21st Century fuel prices. As Hagen from Little Guy Trailers puts it, “In the RV business, being light is not a niche anymore. Light-weight products are the fastest growing part of the business, and we expect Aliner to be a big part of that growth.”
