Elkhart, Ind.-based Atwood Mobile Products LLC has announced its new line of power jacks, the Premier Performance Series.
According to a press release, the new models come in 3,000-pound and 4,000-pound tongue weight ratings and are available in either black or white. The Performance Series will replace the current Deluxe Series.
Atwood said the new jacks will “maintain the same high standards” of the Deluxe Series, while providing many additional features including a bubble level, brighter LED light, new aerodynamic outdoor grade cover, five-year limited warranty, full-color retail friendly box, and the Robofoot, a new self-retracting and extending 4,000-pound rated foot.
Trey Miller, director of aftermarket sales, commented, “We have been working diligently to develop this new line of jacks for some time now. We were very cautious to ensure that it not only met, but exceed the high standards of the previous Deluxe Series, which has been a mainstay for many years. Elkhart, Ind.-based Atwood Mobile Products LLC has completed the first two sessions of its yearlong webinar series, S.W.A.T (Success with Atwood Training), which provides technical and product training to OEMs, distributors, dealerships and service centers throughout North America.
According to a press release, the first two classes, which covered technical training for the Atwood line of furnaces, were attended by over 100 companies, with a majority of them reporting having multiple people viewing at each location.

According to a press release, the technical portion of the webinars will address installation, troubleshooting and sequence of operations for each of the various product lines Atwood supplies to the market. The product training portion will provide information to assist in the selling of the various items. The sessions will concentrate on features and benefits for the consumer, while providing tips to upsell the products.
“We are truly excited to establish a comprehensive training program that addresses sales, parts, warranty and service departments at all levels of the supply chain,” said Fay Flournoy, marketing associate for Atwood. “We envision the product training portion providing not only distributor sales and dealer parts and store personnel with valuable information to further promote and upsell Atwood products, but also OEM sales people who will gain valuable insight to promote the highly differentiated Atwood products the manufacturers have chosen to include in their units.”

Supplier Atwood Mobile Products LLC announced that it has opened a new distribution center in Elkhart, Ind. According to a press release, Atwood will host a 4 p.m grand opening today (Oct. 22) at the new facility, located at 2040 Toledo Rd.
Atwood’s new distribution center provides an additional 50% of square feet over the previous facility. The new warehouse location will also allow Atwood to better serve its local OEM customers with faster response times as well as increased inventory and product availability to all customers.
“We are excited about the new distribution center and our ability to meet the growing needs of our customers. The new warehouse location shows our commitment to customer service and providing the quick results and quality service that Atwood is already known for. We will continue to invest in logistics support to enhance our ability to serve our customers,” said Scott Ford, logistics manager.
Atwood Mobile Products LLC announced that its On-Demand Water Heater (ODWH) was named the 2013 Product of the Year runner-up at the Recreational Vehicle Aftermarket Association (RVAA) Executive Conference in Boston.
According to a press release, the Product of the Year is voted on by a panel of select dealer and distributor judges and the ODWH received the highest voting of any appliance. Awards were presented during a luncheon on Aug. 14.

The Atwood On-Demand Tankless Water Heater offers endless hot water, while saving LP gas and eliminating up to 100 pounds of excess weight. With a class leading 50,000 BTUs of water heating power, the ODWH will transform incoming water at as cold as near freezing temperatures to a comfortable hot shower.

Elkhart, Ind.-based supplier Atwood Mobile Products LLC announced today (July 18) that it has closed on a transaction to acquire Aircommand, a privately held company headquartered in Adelaide, South Australia from the Henshall family. According to a press release, Aircommand is a world market leader in mobile air-conditioning, selling to the RV and specialty vehicle markets worldwide, particularly in Australia, North America and Europe.
“Aircommand has been a partner with Atwood for the past couple of years as we have worked to launch their high performance rooftop A/C’s in North America,” stated Tim Stephens, Atwood’s president. “We have developed a strong working relationship with the Aircommand team and have quickly discovered a mutual commitment to quality, innovation and product performance.
