Atwood Mobile Products LLC has appointed Bill Martin to director of sales for RV OEM customers, according to a press release.
Most recently Martin served Atwood in the capacity of director of marketing. Previously, he was vice president of marketing for Coachmen Industries Inc.
In his new role, Martin is responsible to lead the OEM sales team in servicing existing accounts, expanding relationships and generating new business.
“I am very excited about the opportunity to help lead the Atwood OEM sales initiative utilizing my extensive marketing and OEM background,” Martin said. “Atwood delivers products with tangible features and benefits that only Atwood has to offer. Atwood Mobile Products LLC finalized an agreement June 3 to sell Spec-Temp, the fabricated glass division of Atwood, to Tem-Pace LLC of Niles, Michigan.
According to a press release, Spec-Temp is a fabricated glass manufacturer located in Antwerp, Ohio, that serves several markets including transportation, marine and architectural. Capabilities include tempering, bending, drilling, screen printing, polishing and other glass customizing.
“The sale of Spec-Temp allows Atwood to provide a greater focus on our core RV and specialty vehicle markets with a product portfolio that includes an array of appliances, chassis and seating hardware, powered vent fans, gas detectors, and entry doors and windows”, stated Tim Stephens, president of Elkhart, Ind.—based Atwood.
Finnea Group acted as financial adviser to Atwood Mobile Products in connection with the sale.
Elkhart, Ind.-based supplier Atwood Mobile Products LLC has appointed Steve Baut to the position of aftermarket sales representative for accounts in the Eastern Region.
According to a press release, Baut is responsible for “developing a strong working relationship with distributors and dealerships while promoting and increasing sales of Atwood products into the aftermarket.” In addition, he will assist in training, merchandising, inventory analysis, show participation and other activities supporting Atwood’s aftermarket initiatives.
“With the addition of new Atwood products like the helium refrigerator, Air Command air conditioner, on-demand water heater and Ultra Breeze vent cover, Steve’s experience and hands-on approach will be critical to increasing Atwood’s aftermarket presence,” said Trey Miller, aftermarket sales manager for Atwood.

Elkhart, Ind.-based Atwood Mobile Products LLC has appointed Trey Miller as commercial manager for the Fan-Tastic Vent division. Fan-Tastic Vent is an industry leader in 12-volt, high-powered vent fans.
According to a press release, Miller will be the lead for strategic sales and product management initiatives for both the OEM and aftermarket.
“Fan-Tastic Vent has one of the best brand names in the industry and Trey will be instrumental in helping guide us into the future,” stated Kip Ellis, vice president of sales and marketing for Atwood.
Miller brings over 10 years of experience in sales and marketing management. He has served in vice president roles in sales and marketing with DTI and Stag Parkway, and most recently as president of BR Wholesale.
“Trey’s knowledge of the OEM markets and strong aftermarket background will serve him well in leading our sales and product management initiatives for Fan-Tastic Vent,” Ellis said.

Elkhart, Ind.-based Atwood Mobile Products LLC has named Bob Tooker to the chassis hardware sales team as account manager, according to a press release.
Tooker brings over 15 years of experience in sales, management and technical training. He started his career with the management of a NAPA Auto Parts store and most recently has held sales and technical training positions with Cequent and The Hitch Co. Tooker also holds several instructor certifications, including RVIA, RVDA, and SEMA.
In his new role at Atwood, Tooker is tasked with increasing Atwood’s chassis hardware presence in key market segments such as recreational vehicle, cargo, utility, marine and industrial. Products sold through the Atwood chassis hardware division include power jacks, stabilizer jacks, landing gear, leveling systems, couplers and brake actuators.

Atwood Mobile Products LLC announced that Wayne Qian has been appointed to the position of vice president of engineering.
Qian brings a wide spectrum of talents to support Atwood’s “rich history of designing and manufacturing engineered products with the highest level of quality, performance and customer satisfaction,” according to a news release.
“As vice president of engineering, Wayne’s role is critical in leading our engineering team to meet Atwood’s strategic goals,” stated Atwood President Tim Stephens.
Throughout Qian’s career, he has progressed from the role of an engineering manager with Performance Friction Corp., to senior pincipal engineer with Lennox International Corp. (in a product reliability role) and, immediately prior to joining Atwood, director of product engineering with Overhead Door Corp.
Qian received his Masters of Mechanical Engineering from the University of Akron and went on to receive a Ph.D. from the School of Aeronautics and Astronautics at Purdue.

Atwood Mobile Products LLC has announced the appointment of Amy Duthie to the sales team as RV sales manager.
Duthie is a veteran of the RV industry with over 12 years experience in sales and product management for several leading RV manufacturers. Most recently she served as product manager and national sales manager for Keystone RV Co., located in Goshen, Ind.
In her new role at Atwood, Duthie will be tasked with servicing existing OEM accounts, as well as generating new business.
“Amy’s extensive OEM background provides Atwood a unique perspective towards OEMs, dealers and the RV consumer,” stated Kip Ellis, vice president of sales and marketing. “Additionally, her solid leadership skills and proven track record make her a great addition to our team.”

Atwood Mobile Products LLC reached an agreement today (Dec. 21) to acquire the privately held Fan-Tastic Vent Co. located in Imlay City, Mich.
Fan-Tastic Vent, founded 25 years ago, is a market leader in 12-volt powered vents, selling primarily to the recreational vehicle market.
Penny Milks, president of Fan-Tastic Vent and widow of founder Steve Milks, stated in a press release, “We have chosen to sell to Atwood as they hold to the same high standards as Fan-Tastic regarding customer service and quality, and the two companies together will bode well for the RV Industry.”
With this acquisition, Atwood will further strengthen its breadth of product offerings to the RV OEM as well as to the aftermarket. Atwood is currently a leading supplier of ranges, water heaters, furnaces, chassis hardware, entry doors, windows, LP and CO alarms, seating hardware, LP tanks and roof ladders.

Atwood Mobile Products LLC has announced that Derick Jones has earned an expanded role as RV sales account representative.
Most recently Jones served Elkhart, Ind.-based Atwood in the capacity of sales support. Atwood Mobile Products LLC has announced the promotion of Will Troyer to its sales team as RV sales account manager.
Troyer has been a valued employee of Atwood for 16 years and served in a number of different capacities, according to a news release. As a technical sales and service specialist, he was responsible for auditing and servicing customers in the field. He has also served as an instructor for the Recreation Vehicle Industry Association (RVIA) troubleshooter group, and most recently was in charge of business development initiatives for Atwood’s Ada Drive facility in Elkhart, Ind.
