The ‘Caravan of the Future’ will be on display at this week’s Caravan, Camping & Touring Supershow at the Caulfield Racecourse in Sydney, Australia. Autochannel.com reported that the futuristic, restyled 2013 Unicorn Series 2 from U.K. builder Bailey Caravans Ltd., with its soaring panoramic front windows, offers an even more plush interior and an extended list of luxury and convenience features for long-term touring. The new Unicorn S2 is the first major revision in the line since it arrived on the Australian market early last year. Since then more than 250 Baileys caravans have taken to Australian highways and the new models incorporate a myriad of changes based on feedback and suggestions from customers and the RV media. “Bailey is the largest caravan manufacturer in the U.K., but they are determined to succeed in the Australian market,” said Bailey Australia Managing Director Adrian Van Geelan. Apart from their space-age styling, the new Unicorn S2 models feature more impact resistant and even better insulated side and roof body panels, uprated axles and substantially larger water tanks and larger refrigerators. Additional features include improved stone protection, a taller ride height with better ground clearance helped by a new spare wheel carrier mounted higher in the chassis for better ground clearance, plus improved flyscreens and window blinds. Other detail changes include the fitting of an external grab rail for safer entry and exit, a more ergonomic kitchen design with a two-stage bench height, an increased number of 240-volt and 12-volt power outlets and more robust fixing of wardrobe hanging rails and internal window surrounds.
