Indiana Ranks No. 14 in ‘States to do Business’

Indiana is essentially holding steady on a prominent national list of best states for business. Inside INdiana Business reported that the Hoosier state ranks No. 14 in this year’s rankings compiled by CNBC, up one spot from last year.

The business news network ranks Indiana No. 7 for cost of living, but No. 40 for quality of life. Other factors including work force, education and access to capital are also considered.

Indiana ranks highest among neighboring states with Ohio coming in No. 25, Illinois No. 26, Michigan No. 33 and Kentucky tied for No. 36.

Texas tops this year’s list, followed by Utah and Virginia.
