La Grande, Ore.-based towable builder Outdoors RV Manufacturing delivered its 5,000 unit today (June 12). According to a press release, Broadmoor RV, Pasco, Wash., took possession of a Back Country travel trailer, marking the milestone for Outdoors RV.

The Back Country product line is one of five brands that Outdoors RV produces along with Creek Side, Timber Ridge, Wind River and Black Stone.

“The focus of Outdoors RV is to design RVs for the four-seasons climate and rugged terrain of the Northwest, mountain states and Western Canada,” said Jim Croxton, general manager of Outdoors RV Manufacturing. “Our goal is not to be the largest manufacturer in the country, nor to follow market share graphs. We simply want to design and build great RVs for our dealers and their customers.”

John Ramsey, owner of Broadmoor RV, noted, “Our goal is to provide RVers with a vehicle to create wondrous memories that they and their children will pass along to their children. We have been in business for almost two decades providing our customers with a wonderful RV journey from time of purchase to trading in for another one down the road.”

Earlier this year, Broadmoor RV was honored as the No. 1 retailing dealer for Outdoors RV for the past 12 months.

Broadmoor RV Doubling Size of Service Facility

November 7, 2011 by · Comments Off on Broadmoor RV Doubling Size of Service Facility

Pasco, Wash.-based Broadmoor RV started pouring concrete Friday (Nov. 4) for a $1.3 million expansion. James Henrickson, general sales manager, said the company had a great year with business increasing by 23% from 2010.

KNDO TV reported that Broadmoor RV plans to add 13,000 square feet to their existing service center. The service bays will double from 12 to 24 and will include a paint center.

“We believe that service is the most important thing after you sell an RV. That’s why we’re doubling the size of that service department. Plus we get a lot of people from out of town bringing their units to us for service,” says Henrickson.

Henrickson said the expansion should be completed by March, adding that the Pasco area’s “good economy and an apartment shortage may have contributed to their success.” The expansion will also add about 14 new jobs for the RV store in Pasco.

VIDEO #2: RV Sales Rise in Central Washington

February 22, 2011 by · Comments Off on VIDEO #2: RV Sales Rise in Central Washington

Editor’s Note: Today’s Video #2 comes courtesy of KEPR-TV, Pasco, Wash.

Presidents’ Day is a big day for getting a good deal and KEPR-TV, Pasco, Wash., found out things may be looking up this year for the RV industry.

Broadmoor RV says they’ve seen double the amount of people visiting their lot the past two months.

And they tell us sales are the highest they’ve been in years. Nationwide sales of RVs, considered a luxury item, took a hit during the recession. But the industry is looking for that to change this year.

“I think a lot of people sat back for a couple of years and the people that had the income to purchase an RV didn’t necessarily do it because they were trying to be safe. I just feel that everybody’s a lot more optimistic about what’s going on,” says James “Montana” Henrickson the General Sales Manager for Broadmoor RV.

Henrickson says they’re expecting sales to be up by about a third and have twice as many RVs in stock to meet the increased demand from consumers and in anticipation of reduced supply from manufacturers.
