Three major players in the Canadian RV and camping industry have joined forces to create a new association: the Canadian Camping and RV Council (CCRVC).
According to a press release, CCRVC represents the RV Manufacturers Association, the RV Dealers Association and the campground owners associations from across Canada. The mission of this new organization is the betterment and support of the camping and RV industry in Canada.
A board has been elected and Executive Committee formed. The council has reviewed and approved bylaws as well as the initial budget. Maryse Catellier, who has more than 12 years of experience in the industry, was hired as full time president. Previously, she worked as Camping Quebec executive director.
The executive committee includes: Chairman Robert Trask from Camping in Ontario; Vice Chairman Roger Faulkner from the Canadian Recreation Vehicle Association (CRVA); and Secretary Treasurer Ian Moore from the Recreation Vehicle Dealers Association (RVDA of Canada). Joss Penny, from the British Columbia Lodging and Campgrounds Association will sit on the executive committee as director at large.
Go RVing Canada will also be participating as a guest with the newly formed association, working to help promote the RV and camping lifestyle in Canada.
The Council will foster projects to enhance the camping experience for all communities across Canada.
