CanaDream Extending Pleasure-Way Partnership

Canadian RV rental firm CanaDream Corp. recently announced that the Halifax-based company has been awarded the Pleasure-Way dealership for Whitehorse, Yukon, and Halifax, Nova Scotia.

“We are proud to work with CanaDream as their Class B manufacturer of choice for the last 15 years and as our Calgary area dealer for eight years,” said Dean Rumpel, CEO of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan-based Pleasure-Way Industries Ltd. “We are pleased to support CanaDream’s vision to promote Canadian tourism and the RV lifestyle and their commitment to excellence on standards of quality and service and know that CanaDream is an excellent addition, to our dealer network, in offering and supporting Pleasure-Way interest and customers in Halifax and Whitehorse.”

Brian W. Gronberg, president and CEO of Halifax-based CanaDream stated: “We have had a long and rewarding relationship with Pleasure-Way and pleased that we are now the recognized Pleasure-Way dealer in Halifax and Whitehorse and are able to offer to, Nova Scotian’s and Yukoner’s, both new and used Class B vans from Pleasure-Way Industries, the recognized No. 1 manufacturer in Canada of Class B motorhomes, and the ability for customers to experience Pleasure-Way vans as our guests prior to choosing to purchase and become our customers and our guests for as long as they own their Pleasure-Way van.”

CanaDream currently offers a fleet of 150 Pleasure-Way vans from seven Canadian locations and has been the Calgary Pleasure-Way dealer for the last eight years.

Pleasure-Way Industries said that its commitment to CanaDream, in awarding additional Canadian dealership opportunities, is in line with “management’s stated objective to expand exclusive dealer agreements with recreational vehicle manufacturers in all markets as opportunities become available.”

Apollo Motorhome CEO Joins CanaDream Board

CanaDream Corp. announced that, in connection with the recently completed equity investment by Apollo Motorhome Ultimate Holdings Pty Ltd., it has appointed Luke Trouchet to its board of directors effective Sept. 1.

Trouchet is the co-owner and CEO of Australia-based Apollo Motorhome Holidays and its associated group of companies. His parents founded Apollo in 1985, and he grew up working in the business. In 1996 he joined Apollo full time as sales and marketing manager and became CEO in 2001 taking over full management control of Apollo.

He is a well known figure in the tourism industry leading Apollo to win many business awards. His entrepreneurial achievements were recognized when he won a prestigious Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year award.

He is a member of the Australian Institute of Management and the Young Presidents Organization and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the board.

CanaDream is a Calgary, Alberta-based tourism company that  operates a network of RV rental locations across Canada. 

Apollo is the largest privately owned leisure vehicle operator in the Southern Hemisphere with a fleet of over 3,000 vehicles and 300 employees. It has 10 branches in Australia, two in New Zealand and three in the U.S.

Apollo Completes CanaDream Equity Investment

CanaDream Corp.  and Apollo Motorhome Ultimate Holdings Pty Ltd. announced that they have completed the previously announced equity investment by Apollo in CanaDream of $1,971,669.

The investment into Calgary, Alberta-based CanaDream consists of the issuance by CanaDream to Apollo of 3,286,115 common shares and warrants to purchase up to 1,975,816 common shares.

Brisbane, Australia-based Apollo and its affiliate, Apollo Finance Pty Ltd., now collectively own an aggregate of 3,912,115 common shares, or approximately 19.8% of CanaDream.

If Apollo exercises all of the warrants, Apollo and Apollo Finance will collectively own 5,887,931 shares or approximately 27.1% of CanaDream.
