RVDA: Certified Techs Do Better Quality Work

April 19, 2011 by · 3 Comments

TechCertPrepCourseOnlineIn a recent survey of more than 600 RV dealers, 80% report that certified RV service technicians make them more money than non-certified techs. And 75% of those same dealers believe certified techs perform better quality work than their non-certified counterparts, according to RV Executive Today.

Are you part of the 80% making more money or part of the 20% who don’t invest in training?

The RV Technician Certification Preparation online course offers dealers a proven, economical way to prepare their technicians for certification. Between July 1, 2008, and Jan. 1, 2010, 79% of technicians who completed the online course passed the RVDA-RVIA Technician Certification test, compared to 61% of those who didn’t use the course.

The course is a self-study online learning environment that’s available anytime and only requires high-speed Internet access. It keeps technicians engaged with video, audio voice-over, onscreen text, graphics, quizzes and an online mentor-led discussion forum. The course sections match those in the certification test, and its final practice test is timed to give techs a realistic indication of how they might perform during the three-hour certification test.

Course completion fulfills the 40-hour requirement techs need to recertify. The course fee is $249 per individual; discounts are available for registering four or more techs at one time. Click here to register.
