Clean Seal Inc. is now offering EMI/RFI seals specifically for the electric vehicle and telecommunications industries.

The EMI/RFI seals are covered with fabric that fit over extruded and foam extruded seals to protect from disrupting radio frequencies and other electronic devices. The EMI/RFI seals also help shield from undesired energy radiating from the product.

According to Bill Dawson, vice president and general manager of South Bend, Ind.-based Clean Seal, the fabric can be applied to almost any of the standard profiles or a custom die can be made to the customer’s specifications. Dawson noted that the EMI/RFI seal would be of interest to companies with electronic outdoor enclosures, electric charging stations for electric vehicles and telecommunication equipment.

Bill Dawson stated, “We are looking to diversify our company to accommodate our customer’s needs. EMI/RFI is a technology for the electric vehicle and telecommunications industries. We are excited to be a part of this new renewable energy area and other electronic areas.”
