Cleer Vision Forms Unique Glass Division

January 21, 2011 by · Leave a Comment

Cleer Vision Windows Inc., an Elkhart, Ind.-based  window supplier, has announced the formation of a new glass tempering partnership.

The new entity, Santelli Tempered Glass Elkhart, is a highly automated state-of-the-art glass facility that will promote delivery of tempered glass within a very short lead time, according to a news release.

“The automation built into this plant allows us to meet the declining lead times and ever-growing needs of our expanding customer base,” said Rick Collins, the company’s president.

“Our partnership with the Santelli group was extremely timely and made a lot of sense for everyone involved,” explained Collins, “It’s a natural fit for our business that adds a critical piece to the vertical integration of Cleer Vision while also opening up a breadth of additional market opportunities.”

The company currently employs 13 people and will look to grow to about 30 by the end of the year.

“We use a special technique to eliminate excessive labor and have very limited ‘touch points’ of the glass during the fabrication process. This technique and associated machinery is running very successfully at two of Santelli’s other facilities,” said Joseph Santelli, partner. “We will continue to focus on making sure our processes are the most efficient in the industry. There are always companies out there that build equipment to make your systems go faster. We must stay ahead of the tempering glass equipment development to continue to raise the bar in terms of both quality and production efficiencies.”

Collins added, “We have built an outstanding team, installed the latest automated equipment in a beautiful continuous-flow lean layout and already are seeing growth opportunities pushing the operation forward at a rapid pace. The sign of a good partnership is when both parties have tremendous upside potential and we have created that environment here at Santelli Elkhart.”

Cleer Vision Windows Inc., an Elkhart based window supplier, has announced the introduction of a new line of windows designed specifically for the RV market. The ARC series, created as an alternative to the traditional jalousie window hit the market recently, the company stated in a news release.

“We have never been the kind of company to simply copy products in the market,” said Rick Collins, president of Cleer Vision Windows. “We have an extraordinarily talented and creative group of managers that designed this line of windows based primarily on extensive research done with the OEMs and end users to understand what their needs are in the market.”

With a smooth automotive exterior, the ARC series features an easy-operating vent that does not require the use of cumbersome and often hard-to-reach knobs located behind blinds or furniture inside the coach. The ARC is available in single and double bottom vents. Also included in the ARC Series release is a sleek egress compliant model.

“We wanted to design a series of windows whose exterior matched what we already provide to the market, was easy to install, required minimal effort to operate and could be opened in any number of positions even during inclement weather,” explains Don Hamm, vice president of sales and marketing. “Customers have been looking for an innovative alternative and the initial response has been outstanding. Our company is 100% dedicated to the design and construction of high quality cost effective window solutions which we believe gives us an advantage over companies trying to supply many different products to the industry. Our RV market share growth has been remarkable in a very short period of time and we are already working on the next product lines driven by the feedback of our customers.”
