Coach-Net Rolls Out Premier Membership Level

Coach-Net has launched a Premier membership level as part of its suite of roadside assistance plans, according to a press release.

Coach-Net’s new Premier Towable and Premier Coach plans provide members with all-inclusive coverage for the RV owner and family, including coverage not only on the RV, but also all other personal vehicles owned, rented, borrowed or leased. Details include:

• Global emergency services benefits: Emergency medical evacuation by ground or air ambulance; vehicle return, including RVs; and pet return assistance.

• Discounts and savings: Campgrounds nationwide; RV insurance; and shopping for RV products, camping gear and RV lifestyle accessories.

The Coach-Net Premier membership plans also include access to the RV Technical Assistance Hotline, staffed by certified technicians; unlimited roadside assistance; coverage for trailers, tow dollies, boat trailers and utility trailers; and emergency trip interruption benefits.

Coach-Net Launching ‘Hazard Protect’ Product

Irving, Texas-based Coach-Net, a provider of 24/7 RV technical and emergency roadside assistance, launched its new Hazard Protect product today (July 15). According to a press release, Hazard Protect is one of a series of new products being introduced this year as part of Coach-Net’s Protect Suite.

The new Hazard Protect product offers a comprehensive tire and wheel hazard protection that covers all types of new and used recreational vehicles from common road hazards such as metal, nails, screws, potholes, glass and debris, with terms available from one to seven years.

Hazard Protect allows RV owners to protect their unit by offering coverage with no deductible. The program will cover repair and, if issues are not repairable, also replacing tires damaged by road hazards along with mounting, valve stems, balancing, sales tax and customary labor charges.

“We take our commitment to the RV industry very seriously,” said Dan Lopez, vice president of Coach-Net Sales. “The Hazard Protect product and the entire Coach-Net Protect Suite are examples of our dedication to improving our product offerings that add value and strength not only to our dealers, but to our customers as well.”

Other products in Coach-Net’s Protect Suite, to date, include:

Coach-Net Poll Reveals RVers Hitting the Road

North American owners of recreational vehicles, including motor coaches and towable products, are not letting elevated fuel prices dampen their enthusiasm for travel and adventure, according to a recently conducted survey.

In fact, more than 72% of members of Coach-Net, a leading provider of RV roadside assistance as well as RV lifestyle services and benefits, recently indicated that rising fuel prices would have no effect on their plans this summer.

According to a press release, the survey of 45,000 member subscribers Coach-Net’s monthly e-newsletter was conducted from May 21–28, and has a margin of error of plus or minus approximately 4.5 percentage points, based on a sample of 473 respondents.

RV owners responding to the survey also indicated their continuing preference for longer road trips. The largest respondent group, 48.8%, said they generally travel more than 1,000 miles when taking a trip in their RV. Closer-to-home road trips of 100-499 miles ranked second, with 25.2% of respondents indicating their preference for this distance, and mid-range trips of 500-1,000 miles ranked third, at 20.5%. Only 5.5% indicated they generally take RV trips of less than 100 miles.

The survey findings align with recent survey results announced by the Recreation Vehicle Industry Association (RVIA). The RVIA survey, released last month, indicated that 71% of RV owners intend to use their RVs more this spring and summer than they did last year.

“These survey results reflect the passion for travel and adventure that RV owners have,” said Matt Krzysiak, CEO of National Motor Club, parent company of the Coach-Net brand. “For many of our members, their RV is their home. Their enthusiasm for the RV lifestyle is certainly understandable, as it’s a great way to see the country and can be relatively affordable. RVing also delivers great convenience and flexibility, compared to other ways to travel, so it’s no wonder that more and more families are choosing to become RV owners. We are proud to provide them with outstanding services and products that meet their RV lifestyle needs.”

RV owners responding to the survey also indicated they generally travel with companions, with more than 87% taking road trips with a spouse or significant other, 12.1% bringing other family and 8.2% bringing friends. Only 6.1% indicated that they travel alone. Additionally, more than 36% travel in their RV with one or more pets.

When asked to select their favorite regional destinations for North American road trips, the respondents’ top choices were the U.S. West and Southwest, at 46.7% and 41.4%, respectively.

Winnebago Industries Inc. has announced a new 24/7 Premium Roadside Assistance Program for Winnebago Industries Towables.

Beginning on the new 2014 Winnebago and SunnyBrook model vehicles now being introduced, Winnebago Industries Towables will provide every new owner with a complimentary one-year membership in the 24/7 Premium Roadside Assistance program that covers items such as lock-out service, fuel delivery and flat tire changes for their RV.

Backed by Coach-Net, a North American roadside assistance service provider network, the tow vehicle is also covered when towing a Winnebago or SunnyBrook travel trailer or fifth-wheel.

EverGreen Gets Strong Rating from Coach-Net

EverGreen Recreational Vehicle LLC’s latest reported figures from Coach-Net show that it is among the lowest in terms of utilization rates of the RV roadside assistance service, according to a press release.

“This means that EverGreen, as a manufacturer, has a documented low rate of usage of our two main services, which are technical phone assistance and dispatch services for RV owners who are having trouble or breakdowns with their coach or tow vehicle,” said Dan Lopez, vice president of sales and business development for National Motor Club and its suite of RV products and services offered under the Coach-Net brand.

A year of Coach-Net roadside assistance and technical support services is included in the purchase of all new EverGreen fifth-wheel and travel trailer products, including the Element, Ever-Lite, Ever-Lite Select, Ascend and i-Go fifth-wheels and travel trailers.

Airstream, Coach-Net Create RV Aid Partnership

National Motor Club (NMC) and Airstream Inc. recently announced a partnership agreement that will provide Coach-Net RV technical and roadside assistance to be included in the Airstream 2012 models.

The agreement also provides owners of earlier Airstream models the ability to purchase a membership at an Airstream negotiated rate. Legacy Airstream owners will be notified within the week of this special, limited time offer.

The program, that began mid-September, amplifies Airstream’s premium level of customer service, said Justin Humphreys, Airstream’s vice president of sales.

According to a press release, Coach-Net’s 24/7 availability expands Airstream’s service and provides factory-trained reps to assist Airstream owners wherever they travel throughout the United States and Canada.

Coach-Net is Moving Its Call Center to Texas

Coach-Net, a leading provider of 24/7 emergency roadside assistance and other services for RV owners and manufacturers, autos and commercial vehicles, recently announced plans to relocate its call center operations from Lake Havasu City, Ariz., to the Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas area over the next nine months.

The relocation takes place as part of an initiative by the National Motor Club, Coach-Net’s Irving, Texas-based parent company, to implement its strategic growth plan and better align several closely related sister companies, according to a news release.

The vast majority of Coach-Net’s Lake Havasu City employees will have an opportunity to relocate to call center operations in the Dallas area, ensuring continuity in service and preservation of the company’s deep industry knowledge. Coach-Net’s DFW-based call center operations will be managed by National Motor Club’s sister company, Stellar, which will leverage its global expertise in call center management for the benefit of Coach-Net’s valued customers. The process of transitioning calls will begin in October, and the process is expected to be completed by March 2011.
