A group of corporate executives and community leaders in northern Indiana says it is gaining traction in efforts to identify and support innovation in the region.
As reported by Inside INdiana Business, the Corporate Partnership for Economic Growth (CPEG) recently made a $50,000 contribution to the first phase of the Regional Entrepreneurship Action Plan (REAP), a three-year effort aimed at supporting entrepreneurs and growing the region’s economy.
President Shawn Peterson says the group hopes to leverage the region’s historic strengths in areas like orthopedic manufacturing and RV production. CPEG is a new effort aimed at growing the economy in St. Joseph, Kosciusko, Elkhart and Marshall counties.
The REAP initiative will be managed by Elevate Ventures, a venture development organization that provides support to emerging or existing high-potential businesses.
